[Chapter Five: Guild Rank]
Rank in FoE is based on performance, understanding of the guild, and accomplishments in-game. If a member performs well within the guild and has the necessary potential to become a leader, then they will be asked to go up in front of a review board or be interviewed by the Guild Leader or Deputy Guild Leader. The review board is a three to five leaders from the SC and CoC that ask questions regarding FoE, the game they play, and general leadership. The path to get to the board is based on guild participation, time in the guild, leadership positions held, guild awards received, and overall performance and potential of the individual. These attributes are tallied in a point system which helps determine if the person is ready for the board. Not every member of FoE will become a leader; additionally, if a member wishes to be a “grunt”, then they are not required to climb the rank ladder.
How to get Rank: The rank point system is applied to members in FoE in order to promote healthy competition, loyalty and accomplishment within the guild. The points are cumulative and should be tracked not only by the leadership but also by the guild member. The point system is broken down in the following.
Time in FoE: Each day in FoE counts for 1 point. A day is considered an active day, if a member is on reserve or inactive status they will not receive a point for the day.
Positions Held: The POR is a multiplier to the days that the member servers in that position. This is due to the level of effort that is required above and beyond the normal member.
TM LDR 1.5x (days in service)
SQD LDR/CL 2x (days in service)
S/C1 2.5x (days in service)
S/C2 2.5x (days in service)
S/C3 2.5x (days in service)
S/C4 2.5x (days in service)
C5 2.5x (days in service)
C6 2.5x (days in service)
Unit CDR/RL 2.5x (days in service)
XO 2.7x (days in service)
MSC CDR 3x (days in service)
GXO 3x (days in service)
GL/DGL 5x (days in service)
Awards: Awards that members earn go towards the rank point system. There are three different levels of awards: Guild, MSC or game specific, and Member Achievement.
Tier 3 Awards are worth 1000 each
Tier 2 Awards are worth 500 each
Tier 1 Awards are worth 100 each
Potential: The member is ranked by potential leadership on a scale of 100 to 1000. Potential leadership points may range anywhere within 100 to 1000 by increments of 10. A member with excellent potential should be given 1000 points of potential, vice a member who could go up in rank but lacks the drive for excellence would receive 100 points of potential.
The following are a list of ranks, points to go to the board for the rank, and description.
Member Ranks: Member ranks are titles for members after successfully completing PR. A member rank is designed to show a member’s progression within the guild.
PVT (Private, 28): First level of rank within FoE. Members at this rank are considered grunts and are expected to work hard and execute tasks assigned to them. All members are considered PVTs because they earned the points going through the PR system.
PFC (Private First Class, 370): The PFC is a member who is a hard worker and shows competence and excellence in following and executing tasks given to them. Private First Class have been in the guild for a least one year.

Leadership: FoE leadership is built around the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) and Officer model of the United States Army. The model is modified to reflect a more appropriate use within the guild. For FoE leadership, rank is a reflection of their proven leadership ability, scarfise for the guild and potential. Higher ranked members are more likely to get high PoRs over lower ranked leaders.
The following are considered Support Chain ranks and operate in PoRs on the TAC-FoE and OP-FoE levels of leadership.
