[Chapter Fifteen: FAQ]
What is “FoE”?
“FoE” stands for Fist of the Empire and is our widely accepted abbrivation for the guild. FoE is an online community of gamers that believe in accomplishing goals through a structured means.
What makes FoE a standout community above other guilds?
Fist of the Empire has established rules and proven methods of organization that have enabled the guild to weather the worst the MMO universe has to offer. We have a strong sense of community with competent and experience leadership who are mature and patient to work with members. FoE has infrastructural resources to go above and beyond the average guild enabling us manage more members and more games than the average guild.
Am I allowed to be in another guild and FoE at the same time?
Members are not permitted in being in FoE and another guild on the same server. This is due to conflict of interest that could arise. FoE does recognize that members play with friends and family with other guilds on other servers. Instead of shunning them away we would rather incorporate them as members in the guild.
How is the Guild Structure?
The guild is structured in 3 tiers, STRAT-FoE, OP-FoE, and TAC-FoE. Strategic FoE (STRAT-FoE) leadership governs the body of the guild across multiple games, ensuring principles and processes are followed by game level leadership. Operational FoE (OP-FoE) provides game level leadership that recruits, plans, executes, and logistically supports members of FoE in a specific game. Tactical FoE (TAC-FoE) leadership is the first level of leadership in game that works with the individual players to ensure they meet class/profession requirements to achieve the guild’s objectives.
Each game is governed by a Major Subordinate Command (MSC). OP-FoE, TAC-FoE, and Members make up a MSC. MSC’s are numbered to represent the temporal order of their creation.
What is the purpose of FoE PR?
Fist of the Empire Potential Recruit, also known as FoE PR, is the sub-guild of FoE that acts as an organizational separation between players undergoing evaluation before entering the guild.
Ultimately FoE PR is the neutral ground that allows players check out FoE without fully committing to the guild. It also allows FoE to ensure that players meet the guild’s standards and are “good dudes”.
Is a PR treated differently than a regular member?
PRs get the same in-game perks as normal members. For example, PRs that meet the requirement to get into raids earn DKP at the same rate as members. PRs have equal access to events in FoE. This is to facilitate interaction between PRs and members. PRs do not get access to member’s forums and can not hold leadership positions until they become full members.
Is there an age limit to join FoE?
FoE prefers members to be 18 years or older. FoE is considered an adult gaming guild, and we prefer players that have control over their own lives. However, the age requirement can be waiver based on player maturity.
Should I be on TeamSpeak?
TeamSpeak is mandatory for guild/group events and asking for help. Failure to do so reflects poorly on the PR and can prevent you from getting into the guild. While it is not mandatory outside of that, it is highly encouraged to be on TeamSpeak to develop a sense of community.
Do I have to sign up on the FoE website?
Yes, all applications go through the website and therefore you must be signed up. If you are legacy member and for some reason do not have an account you need to do so immediately.
Is FoE a raiding guild?
No, FoE is a community of players that adheres to a military model of leadership. Raiding is a by product of organization when playing a PvE centric game. If the raid cease to exist tomorrow, the guild will be fine. Remember you are joining a community not a raid.
If I have a problem with a member who do I talk to?
There are several outlets for addressing concerns within the guild. The first outlet is to talk to your immediate supervisor in the Support Chain or Chain of Command. If you feel that this isn’t good enough you can send a site mail to praeliand or an email to praelian@fistoftheempire.com.
Where do I go to find out weekly events?
FoE is always on the go and doing something across the games we play. For events, just log into the website and check the calendar or the events listing.
